In addition to resources for business planning, licensing, finances, expansion, certification and other business needs, Mr. Wade will be bringing the last information on Cover Tennessee.
From the About Cover Tennessee website: “Cover TN partners the state, private employers and individuals to offer guaranteed, affordable basic health coverage for employees of Tennessee's small businesses. Governor Phil Bredesen developed Cover Tennessee to create health insurance options that are affordable and portable, and meet the needs of the uninsured in our state. Cover Tennessee is not an entitlement program — it is voluntary health insurance coverage that is affordable to participants and affordable to the state.”
If you would like to speak with Mr. Wade about the Cover Tennessee program, please call the JCDA at 423-928-2988 to schedule an appointment.
"The Department of Economic and Community Development is committed to its mission of fostering higher-paying and better skilled jobs by recruiting new industries, and helping existing business grow. Recognizing the importance of small, women and minority-owned businesses to Tennessee's economy, Governor Phil Bredesen and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Matthew Kisber, have made initiatives in this sector a priority. Forming viable partnerships is essential in doing business, and ECD has regional BERO enterprise specialists partnering with local business owners and officials to optimize their effectiveness in assisting small, minority and women-owned firms."
